Info

Large groups of fishermen from the villages on the South-Western coast of India attempt to drag their fishing boat into shore with the help of the rising tide. The task is a long process and requires a lot of pacience and strength in numbers.

Fishermen of the Arabian Sea - Hundreds of rustic little fishing villages lie along the dark sands of the Arabian Sea. Through the short hours around dawn to the golden sunset at dusk, the fathers of the traditionally large Indian families are busy both at sea and on the mainland, heaving and weaving, mending and pushing. Meanwhile, the women keep them well fuelled with sweet warm 'chai' and are ready to sort through the days catch before lurking it up to the village
